What is BUVA?

BUVA is an investment coop with community based and community driven goals. While it is operated as a member-owned Real Estate Investment Collective that will entitle all shareholders to ownership of the real estate purchased, the primary goals of the collective are focused on positive community development.

What does this mean for investors?

A typical investment group has profit as their fundamental objective. This is not a typical investment group. While members will buy shares (primarily in real estate), the primary goal is not financial gain, but the desire to empower the community and its members to turn potential into reality in a way that might not otherwise be possible.

How do investors benefit from their contributions?

Ideally, there would be both financial and social benefits. Some investments may not show financial returns for many years, however, as the group invests in the public well-being, the advantage is inherently collective. If an investor would like to withdraw their monetary investment, they will have to sell their shares (if there are willing buyers) or wait until the project starts making a profit for its investors.
